Throwing out first pitch at Boise Hawks baseball game

I was invited to throw out the first pitch at this game against the Spokane, Indians. I must say that this had to be one of the things on my "Mrs. Idaho" bucket list..throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game! Since I've been a serious "Baseball MOM" over the last 17 years and absolutely LOVING this sport. I think I really surprised everyone when I walked out to the mound in 5 inch wedge heals. The manager said.."you can throw several feet in front of the mound if you would like". What does he think? I throw like a GIRL??!! I said, "no way!" I'm pitching from that mound of dirt up there!". My catcher was Willson Contreras-#19, from Venezuela. I fired it all the way to the catcher! Yes sir..it was a STRIKE!! Greg even heard someone say.."get the contract out and sign her UP!" We had such a fun time and I met several little fans since my autograph cards were handed out at the gate and kids swarmed around me to sign them. I even signed one of the Hawks' balls as if I was an official player of the evening! AWESOME! Congrats to the Boise Hawks for their big win this night against the Spokane Indians and for letting me grace their field. It was a huge thrill for me!

 The Boise Hawks baseball team!
Sheesh! I feel old here! I think most of these kids are my 2 oldest boys' age! ;)
"Ok guys!  Who wants to catch my fast ball?!"

Waiting near the bull pen till I get called out to the mound!
With my designated catcher, Willson Contreras originally from Venezuela
And..the wind up!..well..sort of!

The "follow through" ..
 the Release!...
Did you see the Willson move or have to chase it? NOPE!  It was a strike baby!!
Close ups!

He asked me to sign his ball!
We are both pretty in pinks and whites! Such a cutie this little princess is!
Met some Mariners fans from Washington.
I'm a guessin' they were cheering on the Indians.
Just a hunch! ;)
Before the game. Hawks players signing their schedule cards

Our friends, the Skousens brought their cute little boys for the game
